In spring 2026, LIWLIG Finland moved into new premises in Kallio, Helsinki, at Leipätehdas. This wasn’t a move for the sake of moving, but a deliberate effort to design and create a space that makes visible who we are, what we do best, and the kind of community we’re building.
The design process for the new space began in spring 2025 in collaboration with design agency Fyra. It was built around a series of participatory workshops guided by one key question: what makes people want to come to the office at a time when remote work has become a permanent part of working life?
Spaces that bring people together
Based on insights from the workshops, we defined the core goals that guided the design:
- strengthening community and collaboration in the era of hybrid work
- creating functional, welcoming settings for client and partner interactions
- bringing a sense of experience and delight into everyday work life
Practicing what we preach
Inside LIWLIG House, you’ll find numerous solutions inspired by our own expertise in designing experiences:
- Modular furniture solutions allow the space to shift seamlessly from a day-to-day work environment into a venue for client and internal events.
- Thoughtful and playful details – like the Italo Disco lounge – offer moments of relaxation during the workday and serve as a cheerful nod to our staff’s sense of humor.
- Sustainability was at the heart of the project throughout, with 65% of the furniture reused.
- The space is designed to support diversity and accommodate a wide range of people and needs. Spanning nearly 1,000 square meters, it is clearly divided into distinct zones: a semi-public area for clients, events, and collaboration, and quieter, more private areas further inside with semi-quiet and silent zones that support focused and creative work.

In a short time, LIWLIG House has become a place where there’s room for play, creativity, and meaningful encounters. The space enables us to build genuine community – and not only among colleagues, but also with our clients and partners.
